Invited from Vermont to Display at Innovative Housing Showcase
Wilmington, VT —As the opening of HUD’s Innovative Housing Showcase approaches, WheelPad L3C is celebrating the design, manufacture, and shipment of its latest accessible modular home, which will be exhibited at the event. WheelPad’s SuitePAD model home is en route to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., with expected arrival today.
“The need for housing is pressing, and the need for housing that is accessible for those with mobility challenges is critical,” said WheelPad CEO Julie Lineberger. “WheelPad is thrilled to be invited to exhibit a full-sized model of one of our accessible modular homes at this Showcase for the future of housing. It’s always nice to be recognized for our work but it feels especially fitting that the model on the road right now was built by the military veterans on the WheelPad manufacturing team.”
WheelPad ‘s SuitePAD home attachment module on display at the 2023 Innovative Housing Showcase demonstrates its award-winning, inclusive, universally accessible housing design. The SuitePAD model is built on a trailer that can be pulled behind a regular pickup truck. The trailer can serve as a foundation for a temporary installation, or it can be installed on a more permanent foundation type.
